Kaccha gola recipe
Ingredients:
- 1/2 litre cow's milk
- 2 tbsp vinegar/lemon juice
- 3 tsp powdered sugar(to taste)
- 2 tbsp rose water
- Rose petals for garnishing
- Chopped pistachios for garnishing(optional)
Method:
- Bring the cow's milk to boil and then lower the flame. Add in 1 tbsp vinegar and let it simmer. Add 1 tbsp more and let it simmer.
- The milk will split and strain. Then dip the chenna in cold water so that the cooking process stops and also the smell of vinegar/lemon juice goes away.
- Now take it out on flat surface and start kneading, add in sugar and knead more till smooth. Add rose water and knead for few minutes.
- Now form round balls, bite size.
- Garnish with Rose petal. Put in the refrigerator and let it chill.
- Serve only after it is chilled once.
- Alternatively, you can make it with the chenna purchased from market but it'll not be as soft as homemade one.
