Garlic bread at home, domino's style
Garlic bread at home, domino's style
Whenever you visit domino's or pizza outlet you yearn for the Garlic breads but mostly didn't eat seeing the price. Now you can make garlic bread at home, it'll take around 2 hours and you'll have your freshly baked garlic bread right in front of you to eat. You can use this bread in anyway you want.
More preparation from this bread is to make a pizza burger with has been recently launched in the market. Also you can serve it with the cheese fondue and enjoy the little pieces.
Moreover this bread is not from refined flour. The bread absolutely from wheat flour are denser than the refined flour breads, so I have made a bread with wheat flour and refined flour in the ratio of 2:1, respectively. This combination worked great as the natural sweetness from wheat flour balanced the garlic taste in the bread.
It is a great to go and healthier option for the routine refined flour breads we eat. Mostly brown bread in market have equal quantity of wheat and refined flour, so be wise and make your own bread. It'll not cost you more. Also you can prepare it in the batches you like and you can have your fresh breads almost daily.
To keep this bread for another day, keep it in a covered container so that it doesn't dry. Serve it with the cheese dip I prepared whose link is given at the bottom.
Hope you'll enjoy this recipe. For any question you can leave comments.
Ingredients:
1tsp active dry yeast
1/4 cup refined flour
1/2 cup wheat flour
4-5 garlic crushed
Salt to taste
Pinch of Oregano
2-3 tsp oil
Method:
Prepare the yeast as per the packet's instruction. If bubbles comes up after 7-10 minutes, then this yeast is good to be used. If bubbles does not come up, then do not use that and make another batch, because when you mix it in flour it'll not proof.
After the yeast bubbles up, add in flour, salt(do not put directly in the yeast mixture, oregano and garlic. Knead it into a soft dough. Now with the use of oil knead for around 10 minutes more, till it is soft and stretchy.
Dust the flour onto the dish on which you'll bake the bread.
Put the dough in the shape you want. You can sprinkle Italian seasoning and chilli flakes if you want onto the dough and let it proof.
Cover the it with a damp(slightly wet) cloth. Keep in warm place for 1-1.5 hours till it atleast doubles up in size.
Tip:
1. It is suggested to cover the dough with a dish having holes and then put the damp cloth. Otherwise there are high chances that your dough will stick to the cloth.
2. Refined flour us used to bake that stretchy and moist bread.
Bake for 20-25 minutes at 180 degree centigrade till you have nice golden color at top.
After it is little bit cooled down. I flipped the bread and baked for 10 minutes more after applying little butter. It is to give extra taste to the bread. You can skip this part if you are satisfied with how your bread looked from bottom.
Serve hot with cheese dip. For homemade cheese dip recipe click on this link: https://eatcreateandrepeat.blogspot.in/2017/11/cheese-dip-at-home.html?m=1
